IPL 2019 experience followed by the Cricket World cup.

This year is rather exciting for the cricket lovers as the biggest cricket league is followed by once in 4 years 50-over Cricket World Cup. This would make both tournaments a very important deal for all of the players, as it would affect the selection of the players for the world cup squad. The BCCI is trying to cope up with the performance and fatigue issues as players are to attend one tournament after another. And with the selection happening this year, the board has no choice but to rest a few players for the world cup that happens once in four years.

Decision review system (DRS)

The 12th edition of IPL has seen a new system introduced which would enable the teams to review once per inning. This makes it easy and error-free and helps to keep the game from future scrutiny. The DRS will feature Hawkeye created Ultra edge and an increased frame rate per second. With this technology in place, the Umpire will have access to both the ball tracking and Ultra edge.

Midseason Transfers to bring much-needed shuffle

The introduction of Midseason transfer in IPL 2019 is going to make things more interesting as players can be bought and sold in the middle of the tournament. Every team will get the opportunity to buy and sell their players for a window of 5 days from between match No.28 to 42 as long as the players are available. The transfer can only happen for uncapped players and who has played no more than 2 matches till the halfway stage of the tournament. Franchises can benefit from this as they can recoup some of the money they had spent on players.
